Story. Ritual. Artifact. These timeless, undeniably human activities build our sense of self and strengthen our relational bonds. “Culture” can seem to be an ephemeral, elusive concept. But culture is not a concept, it is the outcome of hands on, direct, interactive experiences shared amongst a family, a community, a team, an organization.

Narrative Alignment Process

Breakdown: The business idea or product is solid, but key people just can’t seem to “click”. A gear seems to be missing for translating a founders clarity and instinct to the team. Effort is being made, but the results are slippery.

  • Conduct in-depth research and discovery to understand brand history, values, and founder's journey. What is the core? What is the driving force?

  • Develop the narrative arc that centers the founder(s) in their ideal outcome and engages the primary circle (investors, core team, key clients) with the heart of the business.

  • Design the enrollment medium and ritual for transmitting the heart of the business and the rituals that nurture its assimilation.


Founder Team Alignment

Breakdown: Despite a solid product or service, the team's narratives clash, hindering alignment with current initiatives. Unconscious obstacles obscure the path to cooperation and action.

  • Uncover hidden obstacles and contrasting perspectives within the team-organization. Identify clashes of intent or understanding that hinder alignment with the businesses objectives.

  • Identify the narrative landscape of the breakdowns. Craft the narratives that bridge conflicting viewpoints, centered on the seed narrative as the guiding force. Craft a narrative of alignment that resonates with each member of the team, providing clarity and direction towards internal coherence.

  • Design the rituals and practices that meld each team-departments narrative into unified action towards the key objective.

  • Listen to stories, challenges and insights from stakeholders across departments based on the focus of your inquiry-initiative.

  • Collaborative story reflecting session that mirrors and weaves your team's diverse perspectives into an improvisational, character driven narrative.

  • Highlight key themes and insights that emerged during the storytelling session. Illuminate the path forward by identifying areas of alignment and areas needing further exploration or resolution.
